LOCOLINES produce the only purpose-made transfers available,
specifically tailored to fit:
ROUNDHOUSE LADY ANNE, BILLY, RUSSELL, CHEDDAR SAMSON, ACCUCRAFT CARADOC
AND EDRIG, and the WELLCHUFFED 'ARCHIE'.
***TRANSFERS NOW ALSO FOR BOWMAN, BASSETT LOWKE AND MAMOD LOCO'S***

These easy-to-apply transfer sets are carefully made to fit the
panels
of each locomotive without the need to fit separate lines and
corners.
Each panel transfer is printed with a fine triple-lining scheme
that
would be almost impossible to apply by hand.
Add to that the inverse corners and the outer band of black, and you
have almost instant 'box' lining that is found on few 16mm or 'G'
scale
models today.
The lining is in very fine black-cream-black for the SAMSON,
straw/brick/straw for the LADY ANNE,
straw/brick/straw for the RUSSELL,
cream/salmon/cream on blue only, for BILLY,
cream/salmon/cream for CARADOC.
brick/black/brick for EDRIG.
brick/black/brick for ARCHIE.
When you add to that the fact that there are also enough
shaded letters for you to add your own railway company
initials to the tank sides as well, (Note: NOT Edrig) you have a transfer set that is
impossible to beat for the price!
For a really superb result, you could even paint small loco parts in black.
The instructions
with the transfers explain it all.

PLEASE NOTE: As the actual body colours of the model
locomotives vary so much, we have not tried to match the background colours exactly. Our transfers are in a shade of the loco
colour that will complement the fact the boiler and other small parts may be a slightly different colour (See rear cab
frame/side tanks on the Samson image above).
If you have a particular loco you want CUSTOM livery transfers for,
contact us for details. The Cheddar Hercules on the left has been
modified with a custom printed 'Flying Scotsman' style set.
FOR AN EXTRA £5 WE CAN ADD
YOUR CREST TO ANY SETS TOO!
Simply let us know the
railway name to go inside the crest garter belt and your family name (so
that we can insert your
GENUINE coat of arms from our extensive
database into the crest) and leave the rest up to us.
You DO NOT have to provide any artwork, unless you want a
specific item included in your design.
(A further charge of £5 will be added if we have to re-draw your artwork)
Crest location on loco as SAMSON image above. This price also includes
tank lettering if required.
You could also fit the
BUFFER BEAM
TRANSFERS to have a loco like the
SAMSON in the picture in a matter of
only a few hours! (Edrig comes complete with buffer beam transfers in a
more realistic darker shade of red to cover
the bright orangy Accucraft beams. If you prefer the original colour, do
not use the buffer beam transfers.)

IP
ENGINEERING BREDGAR & WORMSHILL
COACH KIT SETS
Developed with full co-operation from IP Engineering, these transfer
sets are made-to-measure to fit the kits perfectly.
Simply cut out, soak in warm water and apply to a gloss-painted
surface on your model.
Lettering strips are included with the sets to add if you wish. The
transfers are a maroon colour with cream lining and
look excellent on the models. They are not guaranteed to match the
Bredgar maroon exactly. As with the kits
themselves, the transfers are a 'representation' of the Bredgar
coaches.
NOTE: These transfers are a nice deep shade of
oxblood maroon. The models shown by IP Engineering on their
website were not finished using these transfers.

'PERFECT WORLD' CORRIS COACH KIT.
(Visit
www.perfworld.freeserve.co.uk)
Carefully capturing the highly complex interwoven lining
pattern of the beautiful CORRIS coaches has always been a
nightmare for railway modellers.
WELL, NOT ANY MORE!
Now you can apply this amazing scheme in a few hours by
fitting
the one-piece panel transfers from LOCOLINES.
The interwoven pattern has been carefully reproduced to fit the
'PERFECT WORLD' kit but can just as easily be used by

scratch-building the coach for themselves to the same scale.

This shows the complexity of the corners
of each panel, painstakingly copied from
original photographs and drawings.
ALL the panels are included, even the inside
vestibule sides! (Full instructions included)
PLEASE NOTE: Due to colour printing limitations, the gold lining is
printed
in
'writers gold' - a cream-beige colour.

GARDEN RAIL
Locolines Deluxe Waterslide Transfers
by Steve Ciambrone
Locolines
has solved the problem of high cost custom painting of locomotive lining
for those of us on a budget. The Locolines price for the Accucraft
‘Caradoc’ Deluxe lining set is £30.00. Don’t get me wrong, custom lining
is well worth the cost and the modeller is paying for the talent and
patience of the custom painter.
Locolines
website address is
www.locolines.net. In addition to the ‘Caradoc’ transfers they have
transfers for other engines, buffer beams, custom transfers, and a nice
selection of other products. Transfers are ordered in the main body
colour of your loco. My ‘Caradoc’ is blue, as delivered by Accucraft, so
the matching ‘Caradoc’ set was ordered. After a reasonable amount of
time for shipment to the USA my transfer set was received. The transfers
arrived in a large envelope and protected by stiff paperboard. Included
in the package was a Locolines Catalogue and instruction sheet. The
decal sheet is a large sheet of waterslide transfer paper. I was very
impressed with the quality of the water transfers and the crisp clean
lines. The outer colour is black and the main colour is a matching
Accucraft blue. The lining is cream/salmon/cream triple lining. In
addition to the main body panel decals, additional straight lines and
corners are included on the sheet for lining the cylinders or whatever
the modeller desires.
First
thing was a thorough reading of the directions for the water transfers.
There was nothing I was not familiar with when applying transfers, so it
was time to clean off the workbench for a clean environment to apply the
decals. I had run my ‘Caradoc’ before, so a good cleaning was required.
The ‘Caradoc’ body is easily removed from the chassis by removing the 4
screws. Another thorough cleaning was done to remove any traces of steam
oil. It was recommended in the instructions to use a straight edge to
help cut out the decals. I broke out a new # 11 E-xacto blades so sharp
cuts were assured. With close attention, cutting out the decals was an
easy task. I readied the ‘Caradoc’ body and positioned the body so the
area where the decal was to be applied was horizontal. I soaked the
decal in a solution of warm water and a few drops of PVA. The decal
started to release in about 15-20 seconds. As usual for water slide
decals, the decal was placed in position then the backing paper gently
pulled away. The decal fell into position and then was moved to its
final position with a paper towel. The excess water was gently blotted
away. Ample time was available to check and adjust the position of the
transfer. I took my time when applying the decals, allowing the applied
decals to take a set and then reposition the ‘Caradoc’ body for the next
side.
‘Paint &
Lining’ Job
It took me
two evenings to apply the decals. As suggested in the instructions, I
applied (Testers) gloss black around the edges of the decal panels to
cover up the edges of the transfers. The decal and paint blended
together and the difference could not be seen. For added protection, I
then applied Model Master Acryl Gloss Clear over all the decals. I used
a ‘brushed on clear’ so I would not have to spray clear over the entire
body. Locolines instructions state the clear coat is an option and not
really required. When dry, the ‘Caradoc’ body was re-attached to the
chassis. It was time to step back and enjoy the results. The Locolines
Transfer set for the ‘Caradoc’ turn a ‘plain Jane’ loco into a real
beauty. I consider myself a talented modeller but I could never pull
off a ‘paint and lining’ job such as the Locolines decal set can
provide. I am very satisfied with the results of this product.
